Alumni Events

Alumni Activities: The Board meets with alumni in various cities in the US and Canada and on occasion in Nottingham. These meetings are often attended by staff from the University, and often held in conjunction with a University funded evening reception to present up-to-date information about developments at the University’s campuses at Nottingham, Ningbo and Malaysia.

Join the University of Nottingham’ Alumni  Relations Team at this event in Chicago!

The Alumni Relations Team is pleased to announce that John Robertson – Professor of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences at The University of Nottingham, and Dr Anthony Wood will be the guest speakers at The University Club of Chicago – the nation’s first Gothic skyscraper built in 1908. Professor Robertson will be talking about his research into the early detection of breast cancer.

We’re delighted that alumnus Dr. Antony Wood (Architecture, 1995), Executive Director of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, will be our guest speaker and talk about his journey from Nottingham to Chicago and his work as an expert in Tall Buildings.

The evening will be hosted by Professor Neville Wylie, Assistant Pro-Vice Chancellor for the Americas, and he will be joined by members of the FUN: America Board, alumni ambassador Vanesssa Baerga and Elspeth Gilfillan, Director of Philanthropy at the University.
